Top partner accolades for Itec SA

As testament to its ongoing commitment of delivering client-centric solutions for businesses of all sizes, managed business and IT services provider Itec SA has received several accolades this month from two of its largest suppliers.

As such, it has become one of the few South African distributors to achieve the prestigious Diamond Status from video surveillance equipment manufacturer Hikvision.

Onboarded by Itec in 2018, the Chinese organisation provides surveillance products to more than 2 400 partners in 155 countries and regions.

Furthermore, Itec SA has been named as the Sophos 2021 New Partner of the Year and has also achieved Platinum Partner Status at the British security software and hardware company, the highest level available. What makes these especially commendable is the fact that Itec only launched as a Sophos partner in March this year.

“This recognition by Hikvision and Sophos reinforces our vision of providing our clients with innovative solutions that not only add value to their business but improves their customer experience translating to a positive impact on their financial bottom-line. As the world is changing and embracing digital disruption in a positive way, Itec is well positioned with partners like Hikvision and Sophos as we continue to expand our product set from security and cloud perspectives,” says Gavin Meyer, MD of Itec Holdings.

Ranked 609th in the 2021 edition of the Forbes Global 2000, Hikvision delivers a range of video solutions to industry verticals that include industrial automation, automotive electronics, and smart home technology. Its range of thermal cameras can be used for the detection of individuals with elevated skin temperature to achieve rapid and safe preliminary screening in public areas with high efficiency.

Sophos was recently ranked 10th in the UK’s annual Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250 list that recognises the most successful private mid-market companies in that country. This highlights how companies have embraced Sophos tools to transition to secure, remote working environments using centrally managed, intelligent, and synchronised cybersecurity solutions.

“The shift to remote working has expanded organisations’ attack surfaces, and cybercriminals are stopping at nothing to penetrate these increasingly virtual networks. Armed with Sophos’ industry-best cybersecurity solutions and services, Itec SA is securing organisations against these advanced threats,” says Kendra Krause, Sophos senior vice president of global channels and sales operations.

Using technology as the enabler to provide companies with the ability to manage the requirements of a new operating environment as a result of the events of the past 16 months, Itec South Africa is strongly positioned to deliver a personalised service approach combined with some of the best solutions in the world.

“We are exceptionally proud of these accolades as they come during a time where global uncertainty is forcing companies to think differently about their approaches to ICT. With over 25 years’ experience and more than 45 branches across southern Africa, Itec has entrenched itself as the trusted partner of choice for companies across industry sectors,” concludes Meyer.
